IELTS
What is IELTS?
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the world’s most trusted English language proficiency test. For over 25 years, IELTS has been a pioneer in assessing all four language skills — listening, reading, writing, and speaking — and continues to set the global standard for English testing. It is accepted by more than 9,000 organizations worldwide, including universities, employers, immigration authorities, and professional bodies. Each year, millions of candidates take the IELTS test across more than 1,000 centers in over 140 countries. Jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge English Language Assessment, IELTS is recognized as a secure, reliable, and fair measure of real-life English communication skills for study, work, and migration purposes.

IELTS is accepted by universities and employers in many countries, including Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA. It is also recognized by professional organizations, immigration departments, and government agencies around the world. What is the IELTS Test Like?
You can choose between two versions of the IELTS test:

General Training – for those migrating or seeking work opportunities abroad.
All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking sections, while the Reading and Writing sections differ depending on the chosen version.

IELTS is a multi-level test scored on a 9-band scale. Half scores (such as 6.5) are also given.
